5 Fantastic Halloween Events in SF

Halloween is around the corner and San Francisco is getting ready for it in all sorts of ways. There are events happening the week prior to Halloween, the weekend of, and of course on the day itself. There’s something for everyone—including families—so if you’re visiting SF around this time, you’ll surely have a memorable time.

Here are several Halloween events happening around SF!

  1. San Francisco Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo
    Saturday October 28 & Sunday October 29
Check out this family friendly Halloween event! Your kids can dress up and trick or treat at stations around the Zoo, walk through the spooky Haunted Nature Trail (not too spooky!), and go on a creepy, crawly critter adventure. There is also ZOOtoberFest (for all ages) where you can find SF’s largest hay maze, as well as plenty of adorable photo ops with pumpkins, hay, and other fall décor.
  2. Haas-Lilenthal House’s Mayhem Mansion
Friday October 20 & Saturday October 21, Friday October 27 & Saturday October
The Haas-Lilenthal House is the only Queen Anne Victorian structure that is open to the public and they’ve made things a bit ghoulish this October by turning it into Mayhem Mansion. Visitors ages 8+ are welcome and they will even offer drinks if you’re 21+. If you decide to enter Mayhem Mansion, get ready for a spooky tour of the place by groovy ghoul!
  3. California Academy of Sciences’ Creatures of the NightLife Event
    Thursday, October 26, 6pm
This 21+ event takes place at the iconic SF museum located in Golden Gate Park. The museum will be transformed into a spooky tribute to ’80s horror movies and creatures stranger than life. The evening will feature DJs, a drag show, costume contest, arcade, and much more!
  4. Crawloween: San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl 2017
